It's OK to get sick... it really is. Getting an illness provides good exercise for your immune system. A lot of people do a lot of things not to get sick; hand sanitizers, excessive cleaning, limiting exposure to germs, etc. We need to occassionally get sick to prepare our immune systems for bigger illnesses.
In Veterinary school they told us that something like 80% of your patients are going to get better not matter what you do so... don't make them worse!
The best doctor that we have lives within us... Dr. Immune System... let him work. Provide him with plenty of continuing education.
At the first sign of illness we usually want to jump in with some kind of medication tomodify that symptom. If we have a cough we take a cough suppressant. If we have diarrhea we take Pepto Bismol. If we sneeze we sniff vrious inds of medications. Early on a lot of these symptoms are therapeutic. Yes, therapeutic sneezing, therapeutic coughing, therapeutic vomiting, therapeutic diarrhea...
Certainly at some point of the condition these things may have to be modified but sneezing, coughing, vomiting and diarrhea are Dr. Immune systems tools for treating various ailments.
Exercise your immune system, make it strong and vigorous, it is God's gift to help you stay well.
